I have to admit...I'm a blogger junkie. I love to read other people's blogs. I got into it when I was a surrogate and a lot of surrogate's blog their journey's. I'd LOVE to be a good blogger, but I'm not. Part of the reason is I guess I feel like I have a boring life. Also, I guess just time. Once I really got into it, I'm sure I could make it a regular thing. So I'm going to give it another try.
A lot has happened since I was last on here...
We bought and moved into our new house, 2 weeks before Christmas. We Love our new house. Its big....5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. It sits on a full acre. An acre of lawn. Its a lot. It gives us lots of room to grow into.
In February we got a house guest. My cousin Kristy moved in with us. She had her super cute baby in March, and we LOVED having him (well both of them) here.
In March we got an 8 week old puppy. Race, a yellow lab/golden retriever. He's a puppy, need I say more.
We decided to grow our family even more in May. We decided to get some chickens. I thought they'd be fun for the kids, teach them responsibility and we'd get some eggs out of them. I only wanted 2, but I ended up ordering 6. The day I went to pick them up, I left there with 11. WHAT??? Needless to say the chickens are settling in nicely.
We have their coop built and they've been outside for a couple weeks now. My kids do love them. We let them out to free range during the day. We haven't named any of them yet, because they looked so similar when they were babies. Now they're getting more distinctive looks, but I'm on the fence about naming them. I don't look at them as pets but more like farm animals, they're there to do their jobs. I guess we'll see what the kids what to do.
Also....
4 days ago, my little man turned 8. I still can't believe I've been a mom for 8 years. Some days it feels like he's been in my life for forever and some days it seems like he was just born.
And today Rylee turned 4. I can't believe she is so grown up. She is so much fun to see grow up. She is so smart, starting preschool in 2 months. She loves to sing, and dance, and act super crazy. She is sassy which is cute but tends to get her in trouble too.
The kids have their party this Saturday. Its a pirate party. I'll update after that.
We have a whole lot more going on in the Moore house, but that's all you get for now.
The many adventures of the Moore's

Go BRONCOS
We've been lucky this year. Jackson got to go the the BSU vs UNLV game this year with my brother and Dad. Jackson loves bronco football. I'm not sure he totally understands the game of football, but he still loves it. He got lucky and got to go to the first ever black out game.
And Shawn and I got to go to the BSU vs SDSU game. It was a late night game which was fun It started at 8:30 and went to about 11:30. It was a bit chilly, but not too bad for a November night.

Halloween
Halloween is a fun holiday around here. Shawn's been lucky to be home for every Halloween, which is so nice. He can't be home for every holiday so we make do the best we can. Most holidays we can improvise and celebrate on a different day, that he is home for, but Halloween just isn't one of those kinds of holidays. We can't dress our kids up and send them to the neighbor's house a week after and not get a bunch of funny looks.
A couple weeks before we took the kids to the pumpkin patch and corn maze.
We made some fun Halloween food this year too. The kids loved the mummy dogs and the mouths and teeth. I loved the stuffed peppers.
We carved pumpkins.
We we took our Storm Trooper and Flower Fairy out trick or treating.

New Blog
As most know, I have another blog. But that was all surrogacy related and that chapter of my life is closed. So....its time to start a new blog. I want to document our lives. The everyday, boring and sometimes exciting parts. My life has changed quite a bit over the last few months. On August 10th Shawn proposed to me!!!
Let the crazy wedding planning begin. We I planned our beautiful perfect wedding in only 2 months. (with the help of some great people)
On October 13th I FINALLY married my best friend. Shawn and I have been together for over 4 years.
Shawn still works out of town and 2 days after our wedding he went back to North Dakota. It sucked but I know its what he's gotta do. When he came back 2 weeks later we started house hunting. We honestly thought it would take us a while to find what we were looking for, but we made an offer on the 2nd house we looked at. We just knew it was the perfect house for us. So we are currently in contract. We're looking at a possible close date of Dec 10th. We're hoping everything goes as planned.
And our other exciting news....we leave in less than a week for our Honeymoon. We decided to go to Costa Rica. Neither of have ever been there, so we're excited to explore it together. We leave 11/14 and we'll be gone for a week.
Its nice to be back and hopefully I'll do a lot better job of keeping this updated.
